Telfer Operations
There are currently over 1,000 people on site at Telfer. Telfer is located in the Great Sandy Desert (470km east of Port Hedland), having reopened in July 2005 after a massive expansion project involving:

Expansion of the existing open pit Development of a new major underground mining operation Construction of a new twin train concentrator designed to treat more than 17 million tonnes of ore a year Construction of a new gas-fired power station Construction of a 450km natural gas pipeline to the site Construction of new copper concentrate storage facility at Port Hedland |
We also redeveloped the Telfer township into a fly-in/fly-out village for employees. Employees have access to a wide variety of sporting activities including indoor cricket, touch rugby, mixed netball and squash. Other amenities include a swimming pool, BBQ facilities, a general store, internet access and a tavern.
Perth
Our Perth office is home to our Exploration, Projects, Commercial and Legal teams. Our Exploration team is considered one of the most successful in Australia and operates from various other locations including Brisbane and Orange.
