If your application has been successful we’ll call you and make a verbal offer of employment. You should receive a written employment contract in the post a few days after this. We give you 10 business days in which to accept your offer and return your signed contract.
Your contract will be subject to successful completion of a medical check. This means that you can sign your letter now and we can schedule you in for your medical examination once your exams are over.
The medical examination aims to:
• Ensure you can safely undertake the job without putting yourself or others at risk of illness or injury
• Ensure that you can work safely and are not likely to be affected by illegal or inappropriate drug use
• Establish baseline health data to assist with subsequent health monitoring.
By law you must tell us about all pre-existing injuries or illnesses that may be affected by the job you are applying for. If you do not disclose all relevant information you may not be entitled to worker’s compensation if the job aggravates a pre-existing injury or illness.
We try to take your first preference into account when determining your job location, but our business requirements will also play a large role in where your first placement will be. Our Program involves two 12-month placements so you should be prepared to move after your first year.
Our graduates typically start in January of each year, but if you’ve graduated mid-semester or just want to take an extended break prior to starting with us, we’ll work with you to agree a mutually convenient start date.
