Step 4: First Round Interviews

If you’re successful following the occupational appraisals, you’ll be invited to an interview at a capital city location.

This interview will be behaviour-based which means two members of the Newcrest team will ask you to give specific examples of your experiences as a way of predicting your ability to handle the requirements of the job.

At the end of the interview we’ll ask you to confirm details of your referees. Your referees will be contacted to provide further information to support your application. You need to ensure that we have accurate contact details for your referees and that they are aware of your application and have agreed to provide comments. They should be in a position to give a full account of your skills and abilities. Referee checks will be conducted prior to second round interviews.

In addition, you will be required to provide original academic transcripts. These will be photocopied and returned to you.
